I just received an email from bliz, among other things it says this about Real ID
Cross-Realm and Cross-Game Chat: With Real ID, friends can chat cross-realm and cross-faction in World of Warcraft, and will be able to chat across future Blizzard games such as StarCraft® II.
This could really change the game in a big way

TBH I was thinking along the lines of the city raids, peeps dont even have to change chars to tell m8s that a large group are approaching org etc. Talking cross faction was always something bliz said they wanted to avoid. I think you could fix the results of the BGs as well if you were that way inclined.

It's not really any different than writing to them on msn or skype or something like that:P It's mostly good friends or irl friends you will add on that real ID thing, and chances are you will other ways to contact them aswell.
